Edge Triathlon in Niagara was founded by Jeff Scull in 2015 and includes athletes ranging from beginners to elite across all distances of triathlon. Edge triathlon has a youth division with athletes ranging in age from 7- 15 and an adult group with athletes 16 - 70+.
In May 2018, Jeff is very proud to announce that Edge Triathlon will be joined by 2012 Olympian Kyle Jones. Kyle represented Canada in Triathlon at the London Games and has been one of Canada's top triathletes for over a decade. With Kyle now moving into the coaching side of the sport we have formally partnered Edge Triathlon with Kyle Jones Triathlon. Training sessions will be co-coached (one or both of us) and in addition we are creating a Junior/Under 23 elite program with the goal of creating Canada's next top triathletes.
Situated between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, the Niagara region possesses incredible natural training venues and world class facilities. The unique combination of quiet country roads that wind through the vineyards and hilly terrain along the spectacular Niagara Escarpment make it a prime cycling destination. Plenty of beautiful provincials parks, dozens of trail systems, and numerous state of the art track & field facilities make for incredible running opportunities. Niagara is also home to the Welland International Flatwater Centre, offering pristine open water swimming conditions along the Welland canal and pool sessions at the Kiwanis Aquatic Centre and Brock University's 50 m pool. Needless to say, we have amazing training grounds at our disposal.
